Yesterday we had a very special sighting and it will be a day to remember for the rest of my life...

Morning came and we set sail from Shetland to cross over to Norway 🇳🇴

I spent most of the sixteen hour crossover on the lookout for dolphins and whales 🐬 🐳

What we actually spotted was an entire pod of Orca. It was unbelievable. We were lucky enough to sail right by them and they were interacting with us swimming by the boat whilst feeding.

Orcas are one of the world’s most powerful predators. These guys eat Great White Sharks 🦈, which surely puts them pretty close to the top of the food chain!

Orcas grow to 6-8 metres in length, can weigh up to 6 tonnes and have an average life span of 50 to 80 years.

What a day! Norway, we’re excited to see what else you have in store for us! 🇳🇴
